This warmer can be place on the stove, at low heat, to slowly be warmed and used to reheat tortillas, tamales, make toast, or roast chiles.
Please note that low, gentle, heat must be used to prevent cracking from heat shock. You can place your calentador in the oven at 200 F for about 10 minutes and then take it out and place on the stove over low heat.
